It's only a movie, it's only a movie...

Another day, another movie: this time was 30 Hari Mencari Cinta, the first Indonesian movie I've seen since Ada Apa Dengan Cinta? Good for a few laughs, but a bloody weak premise for a movie: a bet to see whoever snags a boyfriend in 30 days? Please. Started to get ideas of what I'd want to put into a movie should I ever be in a position to make one...hello, delusion...

Young at heart, decrepit in age

Watched Cheaper By The Dozen with the freshman kids. After mulling it over for a bit - mainly because it'd be embarassing to be the oldest person in the group by almost half a decade - I went anyway, mainly because I wanted to see the movie and didn't really want to see it alone if I could help it. During the course of the evening, I did feel self-conscious and out of place at times. But in the end I figured, ah well, there are more things to be bothered by than a vast age gap.

To West Jakarta and beyond

Another weekend, another wedding reception. Though this one had a twist: it was held in Tangerang, of all places. I'd never driven to Tangerang before, so the plan was to go with others who were more familiar with the territory. Eventually the plan evolved into a tour of West Jakarta's hang outs and roadside food vendors. Considering we'd driven all the way there, we might as well take in all the sights and stomach aches.
