Pop Culture is my work...and stops me from getting any done 

Was awoken in a rather undesirable manner: by a Dad who'd just been pissed off via the phone by a harrassing debt collector. After making a few phone calls, I managed to smooth things out and we talked about other stuff. With this and the recent suicide thing, I think I can conclude that I'm more a pushover compared to my dad, as kind as he is. I'm probably more of a pushover compared to other people, too. Sure, I get pissed off at other people, but I usually just let it go or try to give them the benefit of the doubt, regardless of their crimes. Trying to see things from their side. Is this a good thing or bad thing? I haven't got a clue. I can only hope that this leniency won't bite me in the arse somewhere down the line...

Another unproductive day. Well, what do you expect when you'd rather expend your mind in trying to explain why comics today are quite different to how they were in the mid-90s, and whether Snake-Eyes or Storm Shadow would win in a fight. In a way, it's ironic: my job is totally related to my interest in pop culture, but I can't get my job done because of said interest. D'oh!
